EXPERIENCES
What I have experienced in the past 10 years
2014-2016
HR at BRecruit, Beijing, China
I focused on recruitment process outsourcing for Amazon China and DHL. This gave me deep insight
into the talent-driven mechanisms of the internet and global logistics sectors.
2016-2017
Glasgow School of Art
University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK
I had business courses at the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow. Meanwhile, we had projects at the Glasgow School of Art.
I had no background in design or art before this. This period of learning and life experience opened another door for me and helped me find a direction I am passionate about.
2018-2020
Ricefield Arts, Glasgow, UK
While working full-time, I devoted myself to this government-supported climate project. As a volunteer participating in organizational activities, I was also responsible for brand design and web design in my role as an employee, overseeing online promotion and media operations.
2018-2020
Banking, Glasgow, UK
This job at the bank allowed me to understand how real-world society operates and broadened my perspective.
Brexit. Moved to Austria..
2021-2024
Blue Mountain Contemporary Art
A4 Art Museum,
Vienna, Austria
On the eve of Brexit, I chose to leave the UK and move to Austria. Over the years since then, as a freelance designer, I have worked for institutions such as Blue Mountain Contemporary Art in Vienna and the A4 Art Museum in Chengdu, China. My responsibilities included designing both online and offline marketing materials, as well as managing photography, video production, and social media operations.
2025- One month ago
Banking, Vienna, Austria
However, I did not give up on making a living, so I returned to the banking system, where I worked in the middle and back office of corporate finance. Yet, this role made me realize that banking was not the career I was passionate about or wanted to pursue for a lifetime.
It allowed me to gain firsthand understanding
of the operational logic, incentive structures, and far-reaching influence of the systems that
shape social and environmental realities. I learned the language of these institutions not to
serve them uncritically, but to engage with them strategically.
While working at the bank, I joined the 706 Youth Space Vienna and engaged with many immigrant communities, discussing the integration of immigrant groups in Vienna. A month ago, I left my job at the bank, knowing that I urgently wanted to devote myself to social activism and contribute to social development.
2026 TO BE CONTINUED...
Social Design - Arts as Urban Innovation
In the future, I propose to develop a practice-based research project investigating "The Commons of
Care in Urban Margins." I would use Vienna as a living lab to explore how neglected urban spaces
can be co-designed not as "improved" commodities, but as infrastructures of mutual care and social
reproduction, particularly for migrant and marginalised communities. I aim to leverage design and
art not just to serve existing systems, but to make new, more equitable social imaginaries tangible and
viable.
